Multiple Choice Matrix

The multiple choice matrix displays several options for each item, of which several can be selected at the same time. Each individual checkbox is coded 1/2 in the dataset (1=not selected, 2=selected).

Important: Only use this question type if you would like to allow multiple answers per item (row). If you would like only one selection per row, please use a Scale instead.

For the multiple choice matrix, the function getItems() refers to the items, i.e., the rows. When used with a comparison operator, the number of checked boxes is used as the criterion.

For example, the following function call returns the numbers of those items in the multiple choice matrix MM01 for which at least one box was checked.
