Privacy Settings

The standard setting of oFb only collects few meta data for each interview, such as the time and date when the interview started. This setting is suitable for most projects.

If further data are needed for the analysis, you can activate their collection in Project Settings in the tab Privacy. If you need the IP address of your respondents, you can record it by creating a device and transmitted variables question.

Please consider though that preventing data is a fundamental part of privacy. Logging the IP address can endanger the anonymity of the data, and collecting browser information can lead to messy data. Therefore, you should only collect additional data if this is necessary for your analysis.

Important: Occasionally, the IP address is considered individual-related data. When logging the complete (not just the shortened) IP address, you data set contains individual-related data. Strict legal requirements apply to this kind of data.
