Ladies and gentlemen, 

welcome to our survey! 

As part of the WoEnMo research project conducted by the University of Applied Sciences Erfurt and the University of Applied Sciences Harz, we are investigating the financial burden on households at the intersection of housing, energy and mobility. Our aim is to determine the actual costs that households incur in these areas. We want to gain a better understanding of how these costs influence one another in different residential locations and how households manage them.  

No one has a better understanding of the costs of housing, energy and transport than you – because you experience them every day in your own home. Your answers will enable us to analyse how these costs affect different households. For this purpose, we ask households in different circumstances and in various locations across Germany. We intend to use the results to draw up recommendations, particularly for policymakers in the areas of housing, energy and transport, as well as social policy. 

It will take approximately 30–40 minutes to complete the survey, and it must be completed by an adult member of your household. We kindly ask you to provide details of the specific costs you incur. Your tenancy agreement, your latest utility bill or service charge statement, insurance documents for your private car, and other documents such as bills for electricity, council tax or car repairs may be of assistance in this regard. As a general rule, you are not obliged to answer any questions. You have the option to select ‘No answer’. You have been selected to take part in this academic survey on an anonymous basis, with no personal details provided. The data will be analysed strictly anonymously and is used solely for research purposes.
