An online survey on your experiences with support and advocacy
in the context of discrimination and social
inequality
Today, more and more people share a growing perception of polarization and segregation. At the same time people think about how this distortion can be reversed.
Acting in solidarity is necessary!
Due to growing inequality, it becomes clear
that discrimination must be understood
not merely as an individual problem, but as a challenge to society as a whole.
Therefore there is a need for individuals and institutions to use their
privileges, scope for action, and influence to stand up for others.
Such support can take many different forms
– ranging from everyday assistance and financial or material
support to raising public awareness of disadvantage
and the lived realities of marginalized groups.
What is it about?
This survey examines the conditions under which these various
forms of support emerge, how they work, and
what is required for this solidarity-based engagement to be effective and
to foster equal opportunities and social justice in our society.
Who can participate?
We are looking for individuals who...

are themselves affected by marginalization or discrimination
- or actively work towards greater justice and against social inequality.
We ask you to take 20-30 minutes of your time to answer these questions.
You can take breaks and pause the questionaire, but the browser window must remain open.
What happens with the results?
The survey is being conducted by the Jena branch of the Research Institute
for Social Cohesion (FGZ) and funded by the
Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR).
The anonymous study results will be stored in a research data archive
and made available for scientific reuse (e.g., as open data) in order
to increase the transparency of our research.

of social inequality. Your responses will be treated confidentially,
anonymized, and analyzed in compliance with data protection regulations.
