Introduction

Thank you very much for taking the time to participate in this survey.
We kindly invite you to contribute to this study, which aims to better understand how authors in education conduct research synthesis—particularly with regard to language choices, search strategies, and international orientation.

This survey is intended for individuals who have experience conducting or working with research synthesis. It will take approximately 10 -15  minutes to complete.

Our interest lies not in evaluating individual decisions, but in understanding the practical considerations and reasoning behind them. We are aware that such reflections are often not captured in academic publications—so we greatly appreciate you sharing your insights here.

Purpose of the study:
The aim of this survey is to gain a better understanding of how researchers in the field of education strategically and methodologically approach research synthesis. Special focus is given to the role of language, search strategies, and international relevance. Your responses will contribute to the scholarly discourse on the significance and validity of research syntheses.

Procedure:
The survey consists of open-ended and closed questions and takes about 10 -15 minutes to complete.

Voluntary participation:
Participation is voluntary. You may withdraw your consent and end the survey at any time without giving a reason and without any disadvantage. If you discontinue participation, your data will not be used.

Anonymity and data protection:
All responses are anonymous and will be treated confidentially. No identifying personal data will be collected. Your data will be used solely for scientific purposes and will shared at Open Science Framework

Benefit of participation:
Your participation will help improve our understanding of how research synthesis are conducted in education and contribute to discussions around methodological quality and international research practices.
