Community Survey on Reproducible Geosciences

Dear fellow scientist,

welcome to our survey and thank you for participating!

This survey on reproducible computational geosciences won't take long. We kindly ask you to invest 10 minutes of your time to make your voice be heard.

Software development has become an integral part of the geosciences as models and data processing get more sophisticated. In recent years, progress towards open science has led to more publishers demanding access to data and source code alongside peer-reviewed manuscripts. Still, recent studies find that results can rarely be reproduced.

We want to find out what the community perspective is on these issues and how we can move forward.

Participation in this survey is anonymous and no conclusions can be drawn about individual scientists. Your participation is of course voluntary and you are free to stop answering the questions at any time. Thank you for supporting this study.

We will publish the first results on 1st August 2021 - you will find the link to the website at the end of the survey.

Best wishes,

Robert Reinecke, Tim Trautmann, Thorsten Wagener, and Katja Schüler
