From Theory to Practice: Adoption and Implementation of the 2018 Classification of Periodontal Disease among Dental Practitioners
This study is being conducted as part of the research project led by Ana Isabel Alves and Maria da Conceição Manso, lecturers at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Fernando Pessoa University, Porto, Portugal, and will be used for the Integrated Master’s Dissertation in Dental Medicine by Anouck Lilou Iris Beaujean..
This study aims to assess the degree of adoption and use of the 2018 classification of periodontal diseases by dentists. It seeks to evaluate the frequency of use of the 2018 classification compared with the 1999 version, to identify the factors associated with better knowledge and use of the most recent classification (such as education, professional experience, and country of practice), and to gather perceptions, perceived advantages, and difficulties encountered in its clinical application, as well as to analyse the reasons why some professionals choose not to use it.
Filling in this questionnaire shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. Please answer all questions.
The data in this questionnaire will always be processed for the group of professionals, which in itself prevents anyone from being accidentally identified. You will be asked to complete it only once (in case you receive it from different sources).
Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
