Dear parents, caregivers, family members, and legal guardians,

Welcome to our study, which investigates the attitudes, resources, burdens, and thought patterns that influence the behavior of parents, caregivers, and legal guardians in relation to their child's trans identity. The study is titled "Nodes of Care: A Network Analysis of Affirmation, Resilient Cognitions, and Distress Among Parents and Caregivers of Transgender and Nonbinary Youth". It is conducted under the supervision of Philipp Dausmann at the Division of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology and Psychotherapy at Freie Universität Berlin.

Thank you for taking part in our study. As a token of our appreciation, we are raffling 20 vouchers worth €50 each among all participants. To enter the prize draw, please provide your email address at the end of the survey. Your email address will be stored separately from all other responses and cannot be linked to your survey data.

The research team views its role not only as conducting scientific research but also as having a responsibility toward the communities for whom and with whom we conduct our research. We are committed to ensuring that our work provides direct benefits to these communities. We strive to design and carry out this research in ways that contribute to improving the quality of life of trans, nonbinary, and genderqueer children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. We also actively work to minimize potential risks and to ensure that the findings are shared with the communities involved in an accessible and meaningful way.

Thank you for your interest!
