European Survey on Multiperspectivity in Holocaust Education and Remembrance

Background of the survey

The survey is conducted by the EU-funded project “Multiperspective Holocaust Remembrance in Contemporary Europe” (https://minor-kontor.de/murem-en/) at Minor – Projektkontor für Bildung und Forschung. The aim of the project is to build a network and strengthen multiperspectivity and interdisciplinarity in European Holocaust Education by taking into account the diversity of memory cultures and their consequences for the present.

The project is funded by the European Union within the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Program (CERV).

Why this survey?

The goal is to gain a deeper understanding of different approaches to addressing the various current challenges of Holocaust remembrance and education in Europe.

We are also interested in what multiperspectivity means in practical terms in different European and institutional contexts and whether and how this approach is implemented.

The results of the survey provide insights into the diverse approaches in Europe and create a basis for exchange and mutual learning between European institutions and organizations active in the field of Holocaust remembrance and education.

The survey is intended to make a practice-oriented contribution to a debate that is often controversial at the theoretical and political level.

Therefore, we aim to represent a wide variety of perspectives, both regionally and in terms of the type of institutions.

Why have you been invited to take part?

The survey is addressed to different institutions and organizations in the field of European Holocaust Remembrance and Education: museums, memorials, NGOs, schools, research institutes, and others.

Please complete the survey on behalf of your institution by including the various perspectives on the topic existing within your institution.

Participation in the survey should take no more than 15-20 minutes.

What will be done with the results?

The results of the survey will be published on the project website and disseminated in our networks.

The results will also be discussed at the further events of the MuRem network. If you want to participate in these events, please contact us (a.hampel@minor-kontor.de).
