====== Usage Statistics ====== In the **Server Management** under **Server Status** -> **Usage Statistics**, you will find some statistics on the usage and load of the server. ===== Server Statistics ===== The section //Server Statistics// shows statistics on the last 24 hours and on the current load. ===== Projects in the Field ===== The chart //Projects in the field// shows the number of currently, previously, and prospectively active projects, i.e., projects that are "in the field" on a certain day according to their survey period. The thickness of the line indicates how many projects start or have started into the field on that day. **Note:** Please note that this chart is created on the basis of the survey periods currently entered. If users change or remove the survey period after the data collection, the project no longer appears in the statistics for earlier periods. ===== Usage over Time ===== The table //Usage over Time// shows aggregated monthly statistics. The figures for //Active users ∅// and for the projects in the field (//Project online//, daily mean) show daily means. For the projects started into the field (//Project online//) and //Collected Cases//, absolute numbers for the entire month are displayed. The numbers for the current month are therefore usually lower for the latter figures. The //Collected Cases// show records that were not started from within the project administration (MODE=interview), regardless of whether the interviews were completed (FINISHED=1) or not. This table is based on the file ''system/loggfiles/statistics.log'', which is written by the nightly cronjob, provided it was configured correctly ([[:en:server:crontask]]). If you would like to analyze this file in more detail, you can open the file as a CSV file. The columns have the following meaning: * End of the statistics period for the current data row (start of the cronjob execution) * Start of the statistics period for the current data row (end of the previous cronjob execution) * Duration of the statistics period for the current data row in hours * Number of survey projects currently registered in the database (incl. archived projects) * Number of survey projects that are currently in the field according to their survey period * Number of survey projects that went into the field in the past 24 hours * Number of survey projects whose survey period ended in the past 24 hours * Number of user accounts registered on the server * Number of user accounts with a login during the statistics period (accurate to the day, usually within the last 24 hours) * Cases (incl. data from questionnaire development) that were started during the statistics period (first access, STARTED) * Cases that were started as tests by the project manager (MODE=admin or MODE=debug) * Cases from pretests (MODE=pretest) * Cases from incomplete interviews (MODE=interview and FINISHED=0) * Cases from complete interviews (MODE=interview and FINISHED=1) **Note:** Please note that the runtime of the cronjob is excluded when the daily statistics are created. This may result in some of the interviews not appearing in the statistics.
