====== Operation in an Intranet ======

If SoSci Survey is operated in a protected environment that is disconnected from the internet, some further configuration settings are recommended.

===== Local Manual and Support =====

  * Download the ZIP file with the current manual from the [[:en:start|start page]],
  * create a subdirectory ''help'' in the installation directory, and
  * extract the ZIP file there.
  * In the **Server Settings** -> **Configuration**, in the tab //Plugins//, select the option "Manual as installed (local network)" for the //Manual//.

Optionally, you can also enter a local email address as //URL of support website//, e.g., ''mailto:support@example.com''.


===== Introduction Video =====

When a new survey project is created, SoSci Survey first offers a short introduction video on the first steps. If this video is not available in the protected environment, you can either disable the video completely or download it and refer to the local copy.

To do so, edit the file ''system/config.php'' and add the following at the end of the file to disable the video:

All specifications are optional, you can provide the following:

  * A still image (''%%'img'%%'')
