You are being invited to participate in a Master’s Thesis study titled “How Spatial Context and Distance-Based Pricing Influence the Substitution and Complementary Effects of Free-Floating Carsharing on Public Transport in Berlin.”.
This study is being conducted by Gangin Kim from Media University Berlin. You were selected to participate in this study because you are a user of MILES Mobility.
The purpose of this Master’s Thesis is to investigate the influence of free-floating carsharing services such as MILES influence the behaviour of it’s users, in relation to public transport usage. If you agree to take part in this study, you will be asked to complete an online survey. This survey will ask about your motivation to use services such as MILES, and your experiences using such services. It will take you approximately 10 minutes to complete.
You may not directly benefit from this research; however, we hope that your participation in the study may provide valuable insights to the unique pricing model of MILES, as well as derivation of new, more sustainable pricing models that can be applied to urban cities with similar spatial contexts.
The answers in this study will remain confidential, and will only be used in academic purposes only. The data is collected anonymously, and cannot/will not be used to trace back to any individuals.
Your participation in this study is completely voluntary and you can withdraw at any time.
