Welcome and thank you for participating!

This survey is part of a master’s thesis project at Nova School of Business and Economics. The academic study examines how German basketball fans experience digital and gamified fan engagement — for example, through live polls, prediction games, or challenges during live games.
It aims to understand what kinds of interactive features make fans feel more emotionally connected and motivated to participate, and what concerns (such as privacy, commercialization, or authenticity) might influence their willingness to use such tools.

To make this topic more concrete, the study uses the example of Hoopers’ “Buzzer” platform — a fan engagement app developed to enhance live sports experiences.
Buzzer allows fans to take part in real-time polls, quizzes, and challenges during games, while also providing data insights to clubs and sponsors.
You do not need to know or use the app to take part — all questions will describe possible features and ask how appealing or appropriate they seem to you.

Your responses will help generate insights that are valuable both for academic research and for companies like Hoopers seeking to design digital tools that fit German fan culture and values.
