Invitation
to participate: Join a study on legumes in your country and
the EU.
Purpose: This
research aims to understand your experience as a farmer in the legume market, including
the challenges you face.
Methods: Participate in a
20–25-minute survey across your country
and Europe. This will inform legume cultivation policies in your country
and the EU.
Benefits: Your
input will enhance understanding of consumer, farmer, and retailer perspectives
in the EU legume market. Survey
completers can enter a lottery to win €150 for every 50 participants. The results from the survey have the
potential to influence public policy, which could affect you and other farmers
in the future.
Confidentiality: All responses are confidential and anonymized to protect your identity. Personal information
collected for the lottery will be stored in a separate data file so it cannot
be linked to your responses.
Participation and
Withdrawal:
Participation is voluntary, and you can withdraw anytime. Once the survey is
completed, data is anonymized, making individual withdrawals from the dataset
unfeasible.
Risks: There
are no known risks to you from participating in this study.
Funding: This study is part of
the EU-funded Valorization Legumes Related Ecosystem Services (VALERECO)
project.
Publication of Results: Results
may be published in journals and conferences. Feedback will be available in
early 2026, with a dissemination workshop planned. You will also receive a lay
summary of the final results by email.
Data management:
Data will be stored securely for 5 years at Leibniz University Hannover. An anonymized database will be uploaded to an open data
repository after results are published.
Contact Information: For
queries, contact researchers via the provided contact information.
