🔍 Can AI Generate Realistic Software Scenarios?

In this survey the term software scenario refers to a structured textual description of a hypothetical software system, 

following a predefined format with four parts:

System Overview, Functional Requirements, Non-Functional Requirements and Constraints.

We generated a set of software scenarios for 10 different industry domains using ChatGPT-4o.

But are these software scenarios realistic? We need your domain expertise to find out!

  • Purpose: This study investigates the realism of textual representations modeling software scenarios, which were generated by ChatGPT-4o.
  • Your Data: No personal data is collected. We only ask you for job role, domain of expertise and years of experience.
  • Data Usage: Your responses are stored anonymously and will be used exclusively for academic research.

  • Voluntary: Participation is completely voluntary. You can exit anytime before submission. Once submitted, responses are fully anonymized and cannot be withdrawn.
