The following is provided for you to decide whether you wish to participate in the present study. Participating in this research is voluntary. You should be aware that even if you agree to participate, you can withdraw at any time without penalty.

This survey will ask you watch a video of a professor introducing his class on the first day, and then you will be asked questions about the class. This should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. This research contains no unusual risk, and we do not anticipate any direct benefit to you in exchange for your participation.

Your participation is requested, but is strictly voluntary. We assure you that your name will not be associated with the research findings. Because the information will be identified only by a code number, your responses will be kept completely anonymous.

Results from this study will be used for further research and may be reported in a department, campus, regional, national, or international meeting or published in a journal. All data will be publicly available on the Open Science Framework (osf.io). Because of our anonymity and confidentiality procedures, there is no way your specific answers will be connected to your name or identified in any fashion.
