Welcome!
Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey as part of my Master's thesis in Applied Business Psychology at OTH Amberg-Weiden.

In this questionnaire, you will complete a brief Implicit Association Test (IAT), among other things. Here is an explanation of what that entails and what to expect.

What is an IAT?
The IAT is a reaction-time test. Words or images will appear on your screen one by one, and you must assign each one to one of two categories as quickly as possible by pressing a key. Your reaction speed is measured during this process.

What do you need to keep in mind?

  • The test must be completed on a computer, as a keyboard is required. Please do not open the questionnaire on a smartphone or tablet.
  • Always respond as quickly as possible, as your initial reaction is what counts.
  • Making a mistake is not a problem.
  • There are no right or wrong answers.

Completing the questionnaire takes approximately 20-25 minutes.

Students at OTH Amberg-Weiden have the opportunity to earn 1 participant hour (VPH) by taking part in this survey—further information on this can be found at the end of the survey.

Disclaimer regarding the categories:
The categories "fat" and "thin" used in the test align with scientific literature and are employed solely for the purpose of examining automatic associations. They were selected because they are recognized quickly and unambiguously, thereby facilitating the administration of the test. These terms are not intended to imply any value judgment or discrimination against individuals or body shapes.

Clicking "Next" will take you to the informed consent form; the survey begins once you have confirmed it.

Thank you for your support!
