Thank you for considering participation in our study. This master thesis aims to investigate how different forms of thinking affect stress levels and emotional reactivity when imagining or recalling stressful situations related to workplace settings.

Procedure

As a participant, you will be guided to imagine two stressful work-related scenarios. During these tasks, we will ask you to apply specific self-talk strategies. The entire session is expected to last approximately 15 minutes, which includes time for setup, completion of tasks, and a concluding debriefing session.

Voluntary Participation

Your participation is completely voluntary, and you are free to withdraw from the study at any point without any negative consequences.

Risks and Benefits

While engaging in this study may induce temporary discomfort due to recalling or imagining stressful situations, it is designed to minimize any psychological harm. The benefits for participants are gaining a deeper understanding of personal emotional reactivity and learning stress management strategies. Participants will receive recommendations for employing various strategies in stress management.

Anonymity

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to us. Please note that we will not collect any personally identifiable information, such as names or ethnic backgrounds. We only ask for very basic information, which does not make any participant identifiable. All data will be analyzed anonymously and exclusively for study purposes.
