As part of my Bachelor’s thesis at the Department of Journalism and Communication Research (IJK) in Hannover, I am investigating how people experience video games. Your participation in this survey is a vital part of this research and is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance!

Procedure and Duration:

The survey consists of two main parts:

Video Reception:

You will watch a video scene from the game "Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered (Insomniac Games, 2020)".

Questionnaire:

Afterwards, you will be asked to answer several questions regarding your personal experience, perceptions, and some general demographic information. The entire survey, including the video, will take about 13 minutes to complete.

Technical Requirements:

To ensure the quality of the data, please follow these instructions:

• Please watch the video in full-screen mode.
• Please ensure your sound is turned on. I highly recommend using headphones for the best experience.
• Try to complete the survey in a quiet environment without distractions.

Voluntariness and Data Protection:

• Requirements for participation: You must be at least 18 years old to participate in this study.
• Participation in this study is entirely voluntary.
• You can stop the survey at any point and for any reason without any negative consequences.
• All data collected will be processed anonymously and stored securely.
• It will be used for scientific research and academic purposes only.
• No information will be collected that could identify you personally.
