Welcome!
Dear participants, thank you for your interest in my study. As part of my master's thesis at the Institute of Psychology at the University of Münster, I am conducting a short online survey on the perception of female influencers on social media. Participation is open to individuals who use Instagram or have previous experience with the Instagram app.
Psychology students at the University of Münster can receive 0.25 participant credit hours (VP-Stunden) for taking part in this study. Further information will be provided at the end of the survey.
Procedure
Completing the survey will take about 15 minutes. You will be shown four images one after another. After each image, you will be asked questions about your perception of the depicted person. There are no right or wrong answers – we are solely interested in your personal assessment and your first impression. At the end of the study, you will also be asked for some personal information (for example demographic information or Instagram usage). Please read the instructions and questions carefully and respond spontaneously and, if possible, without interruptions. Careful completion is important for the quality of the study results.
Privacy Notice
Compliance with the highest standards for the security and protection of your data is guaranteed at all times. The data is stored and analysed completely anonymously. No personal data that could enable your identification is collected, and no IP addresses are stored. The identification of individual participants is therefore completely ruled out. After data collection has been completed, your individual dataset can no longer be deleted. The information you provide as part of this survey will be processed exclusively for scientific purposes. Only the researchers involved in the project will have access to the data. The results of the survey will be statistically analysed and may be used in anonymised form for academic publications (e.g. master’s theses, academic articles).
Voluntary participation
Your participation is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time without giving reasons and without any negative consequences for you.
This survey is being conducted by the Department of Work Psychology at the Institute of Psychology, University of Münster. If you have any questions about the study or the data collection, please contact: Larissa Ludwig, B. Sc. (larissa.ludwig@uni-muenster.de).
