General information for participants
Thank you for your interest in this study.
We are interested in how people think and feel about current public debates related to Israel and the Palestinians.
This short online survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. You will be asked some questions about your views on social and political issues, in particular regarding the recent Israel-Palestinian conflict.
Participation is voluntary. As a small incentive, participants in Germany have the option to enter a lottery to win 1 of 3 Amazon voucher worth 100 euro each. Entry into the lottery is entirely optional and not required to complete the study. If you choose to participate in the lottery, you may provide your email address separately. Email addresses are collected independently from your responses and cannot be linked to your survey answers. All data will be analyzed at the group level rather than at the individual level.
Should you have any further questions, please contact the principal investigator via the contact information given below
Voluntariness and anonymity
Participation in this study is voluntary. You may withdraw from this study at any time and without giving a reason, without incurring any disadvantages. However, since the data is stored completely anonymously, it is no longer possible to withdraw your consent after submitting the survey.
The data and personal information collected as part of this study, as described above, will be treated confidentially. Project staff members who have access to your personal data through direct contact are bound by confidentiality. Furthermore, the study results will be published in an anonymized form, so your data cannot be linked to you personally.
Retention period for the anonymized data
The fully anonymized data will be made publicly available via the internet database, the Open Science Framework (OSF). This procedure serves to ensure sound scientific practice. Other researchers can then, for example, replicate the analysis or test alternative analyses.
