You are invited to participate in a scientific survey on the current state of forecasting in industrial companies. The study examines how forecasting processes are organized, which data and methods are used, what role human assessments play, and to what extent companies are prepared for the use of machine learning (ML) or artificial intelligence (AI)-based forecasting solutions.

In this context, forecasting is defined as an estimate of future developments, such as sales (quantity) or revenue (€), that is as well-founded as possible, based on available data, analytical methods and/or expert knowledge.

The guidelines for ethical research stipulate that participants in empirical studies must explicitly and comprehensibly consent to their participation.
