How can we best support health professionals in rheumatology (HPR) in their research activities across Europe?

Dear Colleague, dear participant,

We want to invite you to participate in a study entitled "How can we best support health professionals in rheumatology (HPR) in their research activities across Europe?" This study was initiated by representatives of different health professions and the EULAR (European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology) Research Centre.

We know little about the experiences, perspectives, and needs of HPR concerning their research activities. Moreover, these can also vary significantly from country to country. With this survey, we want to identify factors that can facilitate or inhibit your research activities. This survey will be available in more than 20 languages to allow participation from HPR across Europe.

We would love to include:

  • Bio/Clinical statisticians
  • Dietitians/Nutrition scientists
  • Epidemiologists/Public Health specialists
  • Movement/Sport scientists/Biomechanists
  • Nurses/Nurse practitioners
  • Nursing assistants
  • Occupational therapists
  • Orthopaedic technicians/Bandagists
  • Pharmacists
  • Physical therapists/Physiotherapists
  • Physician assistants
  • Podiatrists
  • Psychologists
  • Social workers
  • or representatives of an allied health profession

Please feel free to distribute the link to ALL your colleagues. Thank you!

This survey will help us develop initiatives and actions to promote research activities of HPR and support them in the best possible way. Even if you know nothing about EULAR or have not been involved in any research activities so far, we are interested in your opinion and ask you to fill in the questionnaire. There are no right or wrong answers because we are interested in your perspective on this issue. Completing the survey will take about 10 minutes. Your participation in this survey is entirely voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time.

We recommend using a laptop or desktop for improved readability.

Your answers are anonymous and cannot be linked to any individual person. The information collected in this survey will be kept strictly confidential and will only be used for this study. Data will be stored at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria. The results of this study may be published as a scientific article in print or online and presented at conferences.

By clicking the "Next" button below, you agree to participate in this study and allow your anonymised data to be used for analysis. You can also pause the questionnaire and return to it later if you wish. Thank you very much for your participation! Your contribution is important for the development and implementation of strategies to best support a wide range of research activities in the field of rheumatology.

If you have any questions, you can contact the study team at any time by emailing Erika Mosor, PhD (erika.mosor@meduniwien.ac.at).

Sincerely yours, the EULAR HPR Research Survey Project Team
