Welcome, Dear Self-Defence1 Coach!
The current study is part of a larger research project of the University of Liverpool and the German Sport University Cologne looking at professionalizing self-defence training. With this questionnaire we would like to know where self-defence coaches get their knowledge from. The results will enable us to provide you with recommendations about the development of coaches in the domain of self-defence.
The questionnaire will take about 10 minutes to complete. If you have any questions, please contact us directly via email: firstname.lastname@example.org. We would like to thank you for your participation with providing you with the results of this study and the associated recommendations.
In the following questions you will be asked about your "coaching". Please keep in mind that this only refers to your coaching as an self-defence coach / trainer / instructor.
Please share this questionnaire with self-defence coaches you know. This questionnaire is online till the 31th of March 2017.
Thank you for your time.

1 The term "self-defence" is used as a generic term for all behaviors that aim at protecting the psychological and physiological integrity of an individual against aggressive behaviors of another party. As such it includes physical defense as well as "pre- and post-conflict" behavior and non-fighting behavior (tactical positioning, avoiding, communication, etc.).
