I'm Amer Haiqal Bin Amer Hamzah (0360333), a final-year Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) student from Taylor's University. I'm currently conducting my final-year research for my Creative Integration Research Project (CIRP) PRJ60108.
My aim for this research is to examine how different methods of communication used to express suicidal ideation impacts the receiver’s perception of the suicidal disclosure. Answering this survey will take you approximately ⏰15-20 minutes to complete this survey.
Eligibility:

✅18-30 years old
✅ Able to understand English
✅ Have experienced with a person disclosing their suicidal ideation to you
The questions from this survey may bring up sensitive topics. In the event you feel emotionally distressed, you are encouraged to take a break from the survey or withdraw at any time if you feel uncomfortable. Your participation is completely confidential and your identity will never be shared without your consent. Your responses will only be used for research purposes.
By taking part in this research, you’ll be helping in raising awareness about mental health, support open conversations around suicide, and improve understanding of how people express and interpret thoughts of suicide. Your contribution to this survey could provide better support and prevention efforts in the future.

Participant Information Sheet
You will be asked to answer demographic questions and a version of an instrument measuring your perception towards suicidal disclosure. The instruments are based of Suicide Attitude Vignette Experience (SAVE). There are three versions (A, B, and C), and you will be randomly assigned one. You have right to withdraw from the project at any time, including withdrawal of any information provided.
To ensure anonymity and confidentiality, only relevant researchers and supervisors are able to access raw data of this research. Any data shared from this research for publications and to the public will be anonymized, ensuring individual responses cannot be traced back to participants. Furthermore, participants will have the right to access this research paper if requested once it is completed to ensure the anonymity and confidentiality is upheld.
The project is being carried out as a requirement for degree in Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) by Amer Haiqal Bin Amer Hamzah under the supervision of Dr. Hiran Shanake Perera, he will be pleased to discuss any concerns you may have about participation in the project.
